Lisa has spent the past 14 years documenting the wildlife in the Whitewater Valley, capturing still images and footage through the seasons of the private lives of bald eagles and native species as well as those migrating through that she's found while covering her outdoor beat through the sloughs, rivers, woods, meadows, and rivers in the blufflands.

Lisa is the owner of Peacock Books  a division of her Loucks Studios, Inc. corporation, and sister store to Silver Lake Books in the River Center Plaza on North Broadway, her new and used bookstore with about 25K books (10,000+ children, middle grade, YA), first editions, collectibles, vintage, out-of-print, hard-to-find.

Hours fluctuate with seasons, and Lisa's writing schedule. Lisa is in the field on her projects, at her other book store, or working on her books during the morning and she opens her Peacock Books store around 3PM Monday through Friday, and on occassion, some Sunday nights.

Below is a sampling of art on display of Lisa's wildlife work.
