After a long day at work, my husband and I went to dine at our local Perkins Restaurant. We learned as we were seated, that the staff just learned today, they were loosing their jobs. Perkins was closing their Rochester, Minnesota stores. The south store had already closed, and their north store will remain open until tomorrow night at 10 PM.
I understood how they felt. 28 years ago I had walked into that same experience. I could understand their fear, their emotions, their challenges ahead. I wished I could hire them all. These are the kind of workers employers seek and seldom find. People with good work ethics, people who have big hearts, workers who care about their customers!
